Music is full of emotion and honesty. Whether it’s an inspiring rhythm or heartfelt song, the members of Lost Era have embraced their music since joining forces in 2021.
Members
Garry Cornelius
Lead Vox/Rhythm Guitar
Garry Cornelius, 43, Hastings.
Lead vox, Rythum guitar.
With a passion for singing and songwritting greatly inspired by John Fogerty (CCR), Garry failed to meet the grade for the school of performing arts. Not to be discouraged, Garry formed acoustic duo band (Shallow). The band was short lived and he returned to songwritting and attending open mic nights before later forming (CR78) where good friend Mik Whitnell (Babyshambles,100 men) joined on guitar. Due to other commitments of band members, the band never got off the ground and finished. This spured Garry to form (Fury Road) with brother and drummer, Jason Cornelius. Just as the band was well rehearsed and taking bookings, Covid hit and members left ending another short lived band. Garry considered a solo career after this before a conversation took place to form Lost Era.
Adam Thomas
Lead guitar/Backing vox
Adam Thomas, 27, Essex.
Lead guitar, Backing vox.
Adam is a profesionally trained guitar and bass teacher, who has been playing for 16 years and still going strong.
Adam is also a composer and video creater.
Adam gained a degree in music from Anglia Ruskin university, Cambridge and he has most performances around Essex and East Anglia where he performed with former band (Crawl)
Adam takes inspiration from, metal, Classical and Jazz music along side his passion for rock music.
John Miles
Bass
John Miles, 36, Hastings.
Bass.
John has a passion for music in general and has enjoyed, supplying the low end for some 20 years.
Influences such as, Metalica, Rush, Nivana and Tool, the list goes on. Along side playing in metal and rock bands throughout the years (Elysian) John decided after playing this style of music for so long he needed to try something different.
John was offered the oppertunity to join the newly forming untitled band which he took.
John describes Lost Era as, "A most enjoyable band to play in."
Jason Cornelius
Drummer
Jason Cornelius, 48, Hastings.
Drums.
Jason has had a love of drums since the age of 12 when he first aquired his initial kit (Ludwig)
Along with other local kids of a simular age, Jason formed a young band (Schooled)
With the band failing to take off, Jason put his sticks down, taking a 20 year break before brother, "lead vox, Garry" approached him to join mediocre bands (CR78) and (Fury Road) before assisting the forming of Lost Era.
Jason has a passion for rock music, stemming from his drum idol, Tommy Lee (Motley Crew)
Meet Lost Era
Behind the Music
Lost Era first embarked on their musical voyage of discovery together as a tight-knit Music Band in 2021. But their origin goes back earlier to when the band members grew up listening to a variety of musical genres that played an influential role in shaping their paths as musicians and ultimately led them to join forces.
Lost Era has collectively found their signature sound and offers something different and unique to their fans by creating original music and covering classic rock n roll that is unmistakably unique.
